What Fills Her Is What Flows From Her

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. — Proverbs 31:26

The way a woman speaks is often a reflection of what has been filling her heart in private.
Our words do not come from nowhere. They are usually the overflow of what has been shaping us internally.

The Proverbs 31 woman did not simply know how to “say the right things.” Wisdom had become part of who she was. Loving instruction flowed naturally because her heart had been cultivated well. Her words carried gentleness, discernment, and life because of what she consistently allowed to take root within her.

Jesus reinforces this truth in Luke when He says, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” What fills us eventually flows from us. When our hearts are filled with fear, comparison, bitterness, pressure, or exhaustion, it often reveals itself in our conversations, reactions, and responses. But when we allow ourselves to be filled with God’s presence, truth, wisdom, and peace, that overflow begins to shape the atmosphere around us.

This is why guarding what we consume spiritually, emotionally, and mentally matters so deeply. The environments we remain in, the voices we entertain, the thoughts we rehearse, and the time we spend with God all shape what eventually pours out of us.

A woman rooted in grace does not have to force wisdom.
She becomes so filled with truth that wisdom naturally flows from her life.

Today is not simply about watching your words. It is about paying attention to what is filling your heart.

Because eventually, what fills her… flows from her.

Reflection Questions

  • What has been filling my heart lately?

  • Do my words reflect peace, wisdom, and grace or stress and overwhelm?

  • What do I need to spend less time consuming so I can make more room for God’s truth?

Grace Challenge

Be intentional about what fills you today. Spend more time with God’s presence than with noise, pressure, or distraction. Before responding in conversation, pause and ask yourself: Is what’s flowing from me rooted in wisdom and grace?

Prayer

Lord, help me become a woman filled with Your wisdom, truth, and peace. Purify the places in my heart that have been crowded with fear, distraction, and overwhelm. Let my words reflect Your grace and bring life to the people around me. Teach me to guard what fills me so that what flows from me honors You. In Jesus’name, amen.
